(comment) This is the largest three-dimensional Mach Rod product from then to the present. On the back side, there are embossed marks of the Bandai logo, Saito Production, Yomiuri TV, and Toei. A large-sized polyvinyl toy that gives the impression of being a predecessor to the Jumbo Machinder, which began selling in '73 and became a big hit. The Jumbo Machinder is made by Popy, but the polyvinyl Mach Rod is produced by Bandai. Since it was around the time when Popy products, specializing in character toys, were launched by Bandai in '71, it might have been an era when clear division was not yet established. The pump on the passenger seat has a gimmick that makes a "booboo" sound. The rear windmill has an elaborate design that allows it to be turned manually. Except for the soft vinyl head, each part is color-separated with poly moldings, and the details are colored with stickers. Along with the Takara Toku-made Kamen Rider Cyclone and Kikaider Side Machine sold around the same time, the poly-made Mach Rod is so famous as a large poly hero machine that its name is the first to come up. More than 50 years have passed since its release, and while we sometimes see units missing some stickers, this is the first time a unit with all stickers intact has arrived at Mandarake (Koshizaki).
