(comment) A privately made piece reproducing Marusan’s first-period Kanegon, molded in light blue and painted metallic green. I was told by the previous owner that they negotiated with the manufacturer to obtain an unpainted unit. Perhaps because it was originally in an unsold state, there is no plaster in either leg. The M1 brand retail Kanegon initially appeared in six variants: representative colors from Marusan's third phase through Bullmark's period (item number 1001), a Marusan second-phase version (light-blue molding with silver spray), and four original M1 designs (one in yellow molding plus three using luminescent material). However, a first-phase version was never released, and with reissues of existing colors having ceased for over a decade, it is now hard to imagine any new colors being produced. The largest Kanegon in sofubi history, with the coloring of the Marusan first series, its originator. An item (Murakami) that will become an icon of the collection thanks to its meaningful combination and overwhelming presence.
