(comment) A colored shikishi (autograph board) awarded as an Honorable Mention in the "Baby Name Contest" held to solicit a name for the Hiboshi family's youngest daughter, Mikan. Matching the gag, Ryo-san is also dressed as a Super Kanda Sushi worker. Ryo-san is usually depicted in simplified profile close-ups on shikishi, so different poses and outfits are rare: perhaps for that reason a preliminary sketch is included and it’s drawn with the same care as the main manga. Possibly enjoying drawing without assistants, he even added slight shading with Copic markers, revealing Osamu Akimoto’s playful approach to his artwork (Yamatani).
