(comment) A colored paper by Kinichiro Suzuki, who served as the chief animation director for the anime. He is an animator particularly renowned for character design work on 1980s Toei Animation productions like Memoru and Akuma-kun, and original handwritten items by him rarely come up for sale. The recently released Blu-ray box featured newly drawn package illustrations with the same quality as in the past. The anime adaptation of Patalliro is a landmark work that served as many general viewers' first exposure to the world of aestheticism and boys' love. The illustration on the shikishi board shows Patalliro disguised as Bancoran, popularly known as "Patacoran." Although you could see it in the eyecatch in every episode of the anime, the appearance that combines Patalliro's three-heads-high proportions and Bancoran's elegance is truly unique (Yamatani).
