(comment) This illustration of Arale-chan was drawn in the autumn of the first year of the series' serialization. In later years, she tends to wear lighter clothing such as T Signed Book, but at this time, her time-consuming overalls are meticulously drawn. It has occasionally been included in signed books, but this is the first time in about 10 years that we have been able to show it on a shikishi (illustrated board). It was drawn around the same time as item number 6128, but while Senbei, who was originally intended to be the main character, had a solid image from the first year, Arale-chan has a slightly more unique expression.
