(comment) This is Yoshiharu Tsuge's only paperback comic book. It includes a preface by the author and an essay by Sanpei Shirato titled "Yoshiharu Tsuge and His Works." The fact that it's the only Home Run Comics title with a dust obi shows the effort that Shoichi Sakurai put into this book. The five stories included are "The Old Book and the Girl," "The Rumored Samurai," "The Mysterious Letter," "Watermelon Wine," and "The Female Ninja." "The Mysterious Letter" and "The Female Ninja" are revised versions of works that were published as Kashi-hon. In the preface, the author writes, "I don't want to dig up old works now and make a fool of myself, but I lost my reason to the temptation of easy money." At 142 pages, it has fewer pages than other books in the same label, and perhaps to compensate for this, a thick and very stiff paper is used for the cover (Kunisawa).
