Mitsuteru Yokoyama, who occasionally produces astonishingly handsome characters, is especially known for V-7, aka Dick Maki, as a top-tier beautiful protagonist: I think you can appreciate that reputation even from this manuscript, which is drawn to an almost magazine-publishable level. The scene is V-7’s first time meeting the invading group of psychics. In this discarded draft the nervousness of a first battle shows on his face, but perhaps because opponents of this level were never truly enemies for V-7, in the published version his expression was changed to a calm, resolved look (Yamatani).
