(comment) This illustration was published in the November 2006 Edition of "Newtype" magazine. It was part of the "RESPECT for GUNDAM" series that was running at the time, and was illustrated by Mutsumi Inomata . The illustration was used as a two-page spread-page spread in the magazine. Matilda is generally imagined as a dignified figure wearing a military cap, but in this illustration, she is depicted relaxing without it. According to design Yoshikazu Yasuhiko , her distinctive hairstyle was inspired by Ran Otori, a popular male role performer in the Takarazuka Revue at the time. Details that were difficult to discern at first glance due to omissions in the animation in the main story are clearly depicted through Inomata's interpretation. Mutsumi Inomata Inomata, who worked as an animator in the early 1980s until her death in 2024, left a tremendous mark on the world of character illustration, with everyone admiring the charm of her art.
