(comment) After establishing the image shop CAMP, he held his first exhibition in Koza in 1976. He then spent approximately four years traveling back and forth between Tokyo and Okinawa, creating his work. While production progressed smoothly, including a series of photographs under the same title in the magazine "Nippon Camera," Kitajima, being from mainland Japan, faced strong criticism, shattering his confidence.
