(comment) In the early 1980s she contributed illustration cuts and the like to publications such as JUNE. Although the author is often associated with Japanese-style imagery, many of her early works were set in England (Kinjo). "Yaoi" was born in the ancient city of Kanazawa in 1970. The term was defined in a manga doujinshi created by the merger of the manga study group "Lavri" organized by Rappori editorial manager Akiko Hatsu and Yasuko Sakata, and the manga club "Rapponpon" to which Akiko Hatsu belonged. It plays an important role in the history of BL. Yasuko Sakata, a pioneer of doujinshi, together with Yukiko Hanamaki (Hanakiku Yukiko?) published the first issue of the hand-written doujinshi 'Lovely' in 1972. At that time Yasuko Sakata was 18 years old and Hirakawa Kimiko (Hanakiku Yukiko?) was 16. Around the same time, she visited the Oizumi salon where Hagio and Takemiya were living together, for the first time, along with Yukiko Hanamaki. Then in 1975, in the 'Lovely' mimeographed extra issue 'The Little Mermaid', Akiko Kaihatsu (Hatsu Akiko?) participated (or joined) - Akiko Hatsu? 'Lovely' became one of the country's top original-creation circles from the late 1970s. Among these, Yasuko Sakata's decadent BL "Amon and Asrael," a BL fan work based on the 1967 American film Pride of the Marines, became extremely popular, was later published commercially, and its influence on the doujin community beyond commercial publishing is immeasurable. Also, from 1980 she began to be active in JUNE alongside Akiko Hatsu and Yasuko Sakata. She can be said to be an indispensable author when discussing the prehistory of BL (Kinj ).
