(comment) Mr. Ham Egg and Mr. Kutter are depicted in hunting attire, seemingly in a confrontation with a giant snake. However, no similar content can be found in the Manga Shonen or in later Tankobon volumes. The smaller size of the artwork compared to the 3-column layout and the 4-column layout of the magazine version suggests a possible connection to the phantom pre- Tankobon collected volume that was planned to be published in B6 size (which, if realized, would likely have been released in the early 1950s). This is a fascinating piece (Kubo).
