Moto Hagio Autograph colour illustration

Mandarake performed strict appraisal before listing this hand-drawn illustration, but the author contacted us through Shogakukan saying that "I don't remember drawing it", and requested us to "retract the listing". This illustration was drawn when Hagio began hiring assistant, and also when her design changes significantly, where she became very busy. We appraised the item deeply by its period and genga itself, and concluded the illustration belongs to Moto Hagio. And the person who brought us this item, got it from Hagio's assistant, who is unfortunately passes away and we couldn't confirm it. But at the same time, we had some other high quality hand-drawn illustrations came in, including this item, where we came to the level to conclude this is Hagio's work. Most probably this item is one of the forgotten works by the author. To be fair to all party, we decided to retract this listing. We will be relisting this item somewhere in the future.
