(comment) This is a color illustration for the frontispiece of the new series of Yoshimitsu Shintaku's " Zone Fighter ," published in the April 1973 Edition of TV Magazine at the time of its broadcast. Facing it is the cannon monster Red Spark, which also appeared in the First edition episode of the TV drama in April . The vibrant colors, as well as the somewhat more human-like design compared to the live-action version, are characteristic of Shintaku's work, who has created many comic adaptations for children. A nice touch is that it depicts Zone Fighter firing his signature Special Move, the Meteor Missile Might, from both arms. (Hasegawa)
