(comment) In the 1980s, doujin circles began to see a surge in anime parodies, commonly known as "aniparo." Leading examples in magazines were Rapport's "Fanroad" and Minori Shobou's "Monthly OUT," but , and others magazines were also influenced to some extent by this trend, including sections dedicated to doujin illustrations. Doujin culture nurtured author, deepened the context of works, added depth to Genre , and became a driving force in the maturation of Japanese manga and anime culture. This issue features a collection of doujin illustrations of mecha anime from the early 1980s . While Captain Tsubasa and Saint Seiya are widely known as examples of anime parody doujin, mecha anime were equally popular. These illustrations are all by top author of the time and were, and still are, difficult to obtain today (Yamaya).
